Setup PPTP on GateProtect Firewall

  1. Enable PPTP
    1. Go to VPN settings / PPTP

    1. Check Enabled for PPTP and choose an IP for the users who will be dialing in and the gateway they should use. This is the same gateway you will use for all traffic going to the VPN, for example in this specific case we needed to create a route to redirect any traffic to the 192.168.44.0/24 network (other site) to go via this  VPN connection. For this case we used
      1. route add -net 192.168.44.0/24 gw 192.168.3.250 dev ppp8
  1. Create the PPTP user
    1. Go to Options / User Management

    1. Select Add
    1. Add user and description
    1. Go to the PPTP tab and check “Activate the user for PPTP connections”
That is it. Try to dial in from Windows for testing.
